Kavatus Newell, Ph.D., Founder and Executive Director
Ms. Kavatus Newell is the Executive Director of A Mother’s Love, a 501c3 (pending) non-profit organization designed to empower vulnerable families headed by single-mothers with the resources needed to succeed. Raised in New Orleans, Louisiana by a single-mother Ms. Newell’s mission is to help vulnerable mothers arise from life’s circumstances and raise a thriving family.
Ms. Newell is the President of KMR Training Solutions. She resides in Fredericksburg, Virginia with her two children. She serves as an active member of Zion Church of Fredericksburg, the Greater Rappahannock (VA) Chapter of The Links Incorporated, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
Crystal King is the CEO of Crazy 4 Gaming Mobile Entertainment Services, an all-inclusive entertainment company for children and adults. Married to the love of her life for 12 years, she and her husband are raising two sons in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Crystal says, “One of the greatest accomplishments of my life is being a mother; I believe that this is one of God's greatest gifts.”
Crystal believes in serving her community. She is active in her church and lives by the creed to serve others.
Angela Coleman, MAcc.
Ms. Coleman resides in Charlotte, North Carolina where she currently works in Finance. With degrees in Psychology and Accounting she excels in analyzing people and numbers. She has a passion for children and believes with a solid foundation they can become lifelong learners.
Ms. Coleman enjoys traveling, photography, and cheering for her hometown football team, the New Orleans Saints.
Beth L. Sinkler
Beth L. Sinkler is the Director, Continual Service Improvement, MAXIMUS Federal government contract agency. She has over 20 years of experience in the direct marketing industry with a Bachelor of Administration (BA) in Marketing and Management from the University of Texas at El Paso. Beth contributes her leadership skills and volunteers her time to non-profit organizations to include: Loisann’s Hope House Board of Directors, Fredericksburg Area Sickle Cell Association (F.A.S.C.A.) Board of Directors, The Links, Incorporated, Greater Rappahannock (VA) Chapter-National Appointed Office and the Community Wellness Coalition.
A Texas native, Beth now resides in Fredericksburg, VA and is happily married to William I. Sinkler. Beth’s strength is her people skills. Her ability and willingness to extend a hand to assist others, provide mentorship and develop social and professional relationships at all levels.
Ms. Deborah Stephens, Advisor
Ms. Stephens serves as a senior advisor to the board. With over 25 years of government service, Ms. Stephens is retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture where she served in a supervisory role at the National Finance Center. She currently resides in Virginia and works part-time for Caroline County tourism.
Her hobbies are traveling, reading, and dancing to 60’s music. She has one daughter, Founder and Director Kavatus Newell, and two beloved grandchildren.
